My Story
There I was:31 floors above London, alone in my designer apartment, wondering how I ended up here again.
Successful on paper. Empty inside.
I’d done everything right. The degrees, the careers (doctor, journalist, TV producer - to name a few), the spiritual quests across India, Bali, and the Himalayas. Therapy, fasting, chanting, seeking. But still… I couldn’t shake the feeling I’d missed something. Something big.
Everyone else seemed to know who they were meant to be. I was stuck in the loop: chasing fulfilment, never catching it.
Until one day, when I’d almost given up, an email landed. An invitation to Hawaii. A rebirth.
I didn’t know what it meant, but I went. And nothing has been the same since.
From that moment, I followed a call I couldn’t explain, into the wild, into fear, into ancient wisdom. I met elders, worked with totems, dreams, plants… oh so many plants. I walked into the unknown. Kicking. Screaming. But always moving forward.
Only now do I see what it was: a hero’s journey.
And the thing about a hero’s journey?
You only realise you were in one when you come out the other side.
And the elixir you return with? The prize?
You discover you had it the whole time, you just needed some ‘assistance’ to truly see it.
And now it’s your turn, your call to something deeper.

My process
Hi! I'm Dr Ifey Ihonor - ex doctor, now herbalist and plant medicine integration facilitator, amongst many other titles (see below if you're intrigued about my qualifications).
Most importantly, I'm someone who has lived (and continues to live) the work I do with plant medicine.
Why?
Because at some point, life calls you to remember who you really are.
