Trust & Faith Half Day Retreat
Join Dr Ifey for a unique half day retreat of trust and reconnection through the magic of the natural world. It promises to be a powerful day of change, timed to harness the potent manifestation power of Lion's Gate Portal 8/8.

We'll come together as a small group of women to unlock trust, clarity, direction and magic through fire, water, smoke, plants and earth.
Expect to experience a journey through a range of ancestral modalities for connecting to self and the wisdom of the Earth, including:
- Hape and cacao ceremony
- Water and smoke blessings
- Mantra chanting
- Ceremonial prayer bundle creation
- Floral water making
- Intention setting and sharing circle
We'll open up about what's happening in our lives, what we need, and receive support from the plants, elements and Spirit.

Facilitated by doctor, herbalist and plant medicine ceremonialist, Ifey Ihonor, you’ll be led through a journey of reconnection to self and Earth. The day will involve:
Medicine making
We'll make our own potent Andean floral water for protection (Agua de Florida) and infuse it with our intentions
Smoke & water blessings
Individual blessings to free what we're releasing and welcome in the change we wish to see
Hapé & cacao ceremony
Clear and ground with sacred tobacco in its traditional ritual format. Then go deeper into ceremony with cacao (plus optional plant allies) to reconnect with yourself and Spirit.
Despacho bundle
We'll build a physical expression of our prayers with our hands. Despacho bundles are an old Andean practice of creating a ceremonial prayer offering and then giving it back to the earth.
Sharing circle
A safe space to share our dreams, hopes and challenges as a group.
- Please arrive with an empty stomach - don’t eat 3 hours before the workshop to make sure you fully absorb and feel the effects of the cacao
- Please bring a notebook and pen if you’d like to take notes.
- Avoid drinking alcohol, coffee or taking any stimulants on the same day as the event.
Cacao isn’t suitable for everyone - check with your doctor if you:
- are in the last trimester of pregnancy
- have a bleeding disorder or take blood thinners
- take ADHD medication, SSRI or MAOI antidepressants
- have acid reflux or gastritis
- have any medical conditions
- have any concerns about if cacao is safe for you
Hape (sacred tobacco) isn't suitable for everyone. Please let me know if you have any of the following issues, so an alternative means of working with this plant medicine can be arranged.
- Pregnant or breastfeeding
- Uncontrolled high blood pressure
- Nicotine addiction/high use of nicotine (more than 5 cigarettes a day)
- Cardiovascular disease, gastritis or acid reflux
- Sinusitis, asthma or other airway condition
This event is not suitable for you if you have a theobromine allergy or chocolate-induced migraines.
Cancellation/refund policy:
Due to the costs of venue hire and consumables for the event, refunds will not be issued if you cannot attend. However, for cancellations made at least 1 week before the event, attendees can be rolled onto a future event of equivalent price, at no cost.
If you cannot attend, you can transfer your ticket to someone else by emailing hello@8within.com and informing us of the need to transfer a ticket. For a transfer to be authorised, you must email us no later than 48 hours before the event. It is the responsibility of the new ticket holder to ensure they have no contraindications that prevent them from safely participating in the event.
