Peruvian ceremonial-grade cacao nibs and husks extracted at a 1:3 concentration in a clean sugar-cane alcohol with a touch of wildflower honey. 30ml. Made in batches of ten.

Science meets plant alchemy
After walking away from a career as a medical doctor, 8 Within's founder Dr Ifey Ihonor spent five years travelling the world (from India to Indonesia, Hawaii and Costa Rica) in search of her life’s purpose.
But it wasn’t until a hot and sticky Thursday morning in Costa Rica in 2023 that 8 Within was conceived.
While drinking real Mayan cacao deep in the jungle, Ifey had an indescribably awakening experience.
“So this is what authentic cacao can do. Wow!”
It was at that moment she knew she had to share the mind-elevating magic of ceremonial cacao with as many people as possible.
But she knew her path with cacao couldn’t be the same as others. She needed to fuse her Western medical training with her growing knowledge of traditional herbalism to create a new type of cacao experience.

Cacao isn't chocolate, it's medicine for the soul. So, we make ours using ethical practices and reverence. We pay Peruvian farmers fairly so they can afford to use practices that give back to the community and preserve the biodiversity of the region.

Cacao's mood transforming power is mainly down to a mild
stimulant called theobromine. Theobromine boosts blood flow around your body,
making you feel more alive and energised. Cacao also contains feelgood
compounds (phenylethylamine, tryptophan, tryptamine and indirect
cannabinoids). They hit key brain receptors, triggering the release of
serotonin, dopamine and anandamide - the body's bliss chemicals. And just like
that, you feel amazing.
We created our elixirs to be drunk when you need to shift into a specific frame of mind, but you can also drink them daily as an all-natural way to stay energised and feel amazing. But keep in mind that it's best to have no more than 40g (a ceremonial dose) in a day to avoid overstimulation.

We're all about feelgood vibes at 8 Within, so it's no surprise that your satisfaction is our number one priority. As our products are perishable, we can't accept returns. But you can cancel your order for a full refund if you do so before it has been shipped. Shipping usually happens 12 to 24 hours after placing your order (you will be sent an shipping notification by email once your order has been dispatched for shipping).

We dispatch all orders within 1-2 days. We use a 48-hour tracked postal service (Royal Mail), which usually arrives within 2 working days. Please note that delivery may take longer for orders placed on weekends and public holidays. If your order hasn't arrived after 2 weeks, please contact us and we will chase it up for you.
