Twice the size of our standard cacao elixir bags, this is a rare, single-origin ceremonial cacao offered in its purest form.
Sourced from the Ancash region of northern Peru, this 100% pure cacao is selected for its distinctive natural composition, including 13x higher naturally occurring tryptamine compared to other cacao varieties.
Tryptamine has been found to increase neuroplastic change by working on the 5HT2A brain receptors, which can assist behaviour change, new perspectives and less rigidity in life.
Inner Depths also has a lower theobromine content than our other cacao offerings, giving it a quieter, more restrained profile.
Often chosen for slower, inward-focused rituals, this cacao is well suited to personal practices such as journaling, meditation and contemplation.
This cacao is best prepared slowly and enjoyed without rushing, allowing space for reflection and presence rather than stimulation.

Inner Depths is a rare ancestral, indigenous organic cacao that's 13X higher in tryptamine than your average cacao.
Ultra premium quality
This cacao is made from the very best organic cacao beans, which have been shade grown using traditional agroforestry practices in a small farm in the Ancash region of northern Peru.
1. Heat 200ml water or milk, and allow to cool slightly.
2. Add the water/milk and 4 level tablespoons (35g; a ceremonial serving) or 2 tablespoons (17g; a daily serving) of cacao to a blender or pan. Only use 100mls of liquid for a 17g dose.
3. Blend in blender or gently whisk in a pan (under a low flame) until smooth and creamy.
4. Sweeten if needed.
5. Enjoy hot or iced.
For best results, take on an empty stomach. And because cacao is a stimulant, it's best taken earlier in the day.

Cacao's mood transforming power is mainly down to a mild
stimulant called theobromine. Theobromine boosts blood flow around your body,
making you feel more alive and energised. Cacao also contains feelgood
compounds (phenylethylamine, tryptophan, tryptamine and indirect
cannabinoids). They hit key brain receptors, triggering the release of
serotonin, dopamine and anandamide - the body's bliss chemicals. And just like

We created our elixirs to be drunk when you need to shift into a specific frame of mind, but you can also drink them daily as an all-natural way to stay energised and feel amazing. But keep in mind that it's best to have no more than 40g (a ceremonial dose) in a day to avoid overstimulation.

But you can cancel your order for a full refund if you do so before it has been shipped. Shipping usually happens 12 to 24 hours after placing your order (you will be sent an shipping notification by email once your order has been dispatched for shipping).

We dispatch all orders within 1-2 days. We use a 48-hour tracked postal service (Royal Mail), which usually arrives within 2 working days. Please note that delivery may take longer for orders placed on weekends and public holidays. If your order hasn't arrived after 2 weeks, please contact us and we will chase it up for you.
Yes, 8 Within delivers worldwide, but some countries have complicated import rules, and require a manual order to be created. If you try to place an order to a non-UK country and you're unable to check out, please email hello@8within.com and we will help complete your order manually.
